It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the closure of You Raise Me Up due to a lack of ongoing financial support.

We have loved being able to support so many families for the last 15 years in memory of Megan and Jane Brooks.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported the charity for the past 15 years and we are so grateful to have had this opportunity for as long as we have.
We also pay tribute to all our staff, counsellors and supporters – including many local businesses – for all the hard work they have done. It has been a privilege working with everyone.
You Raise Me Up has been an incredibly special place for so many and we will treasure the experiences we have had and the wonderful families we have met.
This decision has not been easy and we have explored all viable options, but unfortunately due to a lack of sustained financial support and rising operational costs we can no longer operate.
This is an incredibly difficult time and we know how much upset this will cause. But we are immensely proud of everything You Raise Me Up has achieved. Megan and Jane’s legacy will continue beyond the organisation itself.
As of now we will no longer be operating. Our priority now is to ensure a responsible and compassionate wind-down.

Crowdfunder Appeal Launch Update

You Raise Me Up are a small, local Charity that supports families who have suffered the death of a child aged 16-25.

We offer individual counselling to bereaved family members to help towards improving  their mental health wellbeing as well as our Support Groups.

We have our Drop in Support Centre in Polegate High Street which is a safe environment for our families to share feelings and thoughts with others in similar situations.

The Centre is also our Coffee Shop and the Hub of the local Community where people meet regularly.

We held a Christmas Day Lunch last year and will this year too!

IT IS OUR CHARITY’S HOME!

With the Corona Virus hitting us earlier this year and the Government guidelines for social distancing and lockdown, we have had to either postpone or cancel all our fundraising events for the foreseeable future, as well as close the Support Centre and Coffee Shop.

This leaves our Charity in a vulnerable position as we cannot raise funds through our usual channels.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

We have set up a Crowdfunder Appeal and are asking our local Community, businesses, supporters and anyone else to help us raise much needed funds to help the the Charity continue its work through these difficult times.

We have been lucky enough to be chosen by Crowfunder with East Sussex County Council as one of the Charities that will have a proportion of the donations matched.

We need to reach our target in just 4 weeks

The Appeal is launched this week – Wednesday 6th May 2020

We understand that times are uncertain financially for many of us and that’s why anything you can give will be so greatly appreciated by us, our families and the local Community that use our services.

REMEMBER, THE DONATIONS WILL BE DOUBLED BY CROWDFUNDER!

We thank you so much for your support over the past 9 years, now and into the future.

Please click below to donate on the Crowdfunder page and

See you all very soon

From Everyone at You Raise Me Up

Our Crowdfunder was a SUCCESS!!!!

We exceeded our target and raised a total of £5630 for the charity!

So many people supported us via this campaign and it just showed how the community pulls together and supports local causes at times when it is most needed.

We cannot thank you all enough for your ongoing support xxx
