It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the closure of You Raise Me Up due to a lack of ongoing financial support.

We have loved being able to support so many families for the last 15 years in memory of Megan and Jane Brooks.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported the charity for the past 15 years and we are so grateful to have had this opportunity for as long as we have.
We also pay tribute to all our staff, counsellors and supporters – including many local businesses – for all the hard work they have done. It has been a privilege working with everyone.
You Raise Me Up has been an incredibly special place for so many and we will treasure the experiences we have had and the wonderful families we have met.
This decision has not been easy and we have explored all viable options, but unfortunately due to a lack of sustained financial support and rising operational costs we can no longer operate.
This is an incredibly difficult time and we know how much upset this will cause. But we are immensely proud of everything You Raise Me Up has achieved. Megan and Jane’s legacy will continue beyond the organisation itself.
As of now we will no longer be operating. Our priority now is to ensure a responsible and compassionate wind-down.

John Robinson Soccer USA announce new Charity Partnership with YRMU

Founder John Robinson commented “I am delighted to announce our Charity partnership in England.

We were presently looking at several charity’s to support, but after this past weeks conversation, several meetings & the personal connection, I was delighted & honored when Natalie confirmed the partnership. “Natalie Cribb Hughes (Trustee) commented on the partnership

“We are delighted and extremely grateful that John Robinson Soccer USA has chosen “You Raise Me Up” as their charity partner.

John has been a close family friend for many years, and attended the same school as myself and my sisters.

We followed his football career at both Brighton and Charlton, and he has always remained a great friend.

“You Raise Me Up” was founded by my sister Jane Brooks in 2011, following the sudden death of her 17 year old daughter Megan. We provide financial and emotional support to families who have lost a child aged between 16-25.

The age group both organisations are involved with, combined with our long standing personal relationship with John, makes this partnership even more poignant.” John further commented “Personally having so many wonderful memories with the family, going all the way back to my early school years in Sussex,& through my football career, this was an obvious choice for many reasons.

After meeting with the management & Natalie (Trustee), listening about all the great things the charity has done, the families they have already helped, and with the age group of both organizations the same, this was a perfect fit for our organization & wanted to help in anyway we can.

JRS-USA will support the Charity by donating money from our Showcase events that players attend, any sponsorships raised, & will help with other fundraising ideas.

Now anyone who attends any of our events will be supporting this fantastic Charity”.
